trying o load a windows 98 game on Xp _ I spy spooky mansion

I am using the compatibility options

but selecting autoplay produces message

"requires 3mb virtual memory"

don't understand. I can run Elderscrolls Oblivion so it should manage this kiddies programme

any ideas on how I can fix

You can fix this error by following these steps (http://www.sundaysoftware.com/resources/Error3MBvirtual.htm), HOWEVER - that is probably just the autorun installer causing problems and not the game or real installer.

Performing the above will adjust your virtual memory settings to a non-optimum level - so what I would do instead is browse the CD using Windows Explorer or "My Computer" and try to run the setup file manually, rather than the default autorun. It seems like the software causing that error is just a macromedia "frontend" for the real installer - try looking for a setup.exe file on the CD drive and see if that will run. :)
