Is FrontPage 2003 compatible with either Adobe CreativeSuite or Dreamweaver
MX? I am supposed to develop a website for the school I work for. They
bought all three programs and would like to know if they are compatible.
They want the teachers to be able to develop and update their own webpages
using FrontPage, but don't really care what the main site is created with.
Also, I have never used FrontPage, what books would you recommend that will
go into depth on creating a website?

Pick ONE you like and go for it - mixing 3, then throw in the multiple users...would be a nightmare...it may be anyway :)

I predict catastrophe.

HTML is HTML, but once a site is committed to FP, using one of these other
programs can be big problems. However, if the people using DW or GL are
disciplined in their use, you can do it without issue. The trick would be
to work in totally separate sites so that the files are isolated from each
other.

For example - have on your local system a Dreamweaver site and a FP site in
physically different locations. Set up DW to use this local folder as its
"Local site" and the FP (local) folder as its "Remote site". When you want
to make a change to a page, get it from the remote web with FP. Then
connect with DW and bring the file from the FP site into the DW site. Make
your changes with DW and save the file in the DW Local site. Use FP to
IMPORT that file into the FP site so that it overwrites the existing file
there. Publish with FP back to the web. This should do the trick.
