I am not looking for a solution but do we know if Power Point 2003 will be
compatible with Office 12 (aka 2007) I am using the latest beta and all the
other parts of the suite work except PP. I cannot open a PP made with 2003??
Odd

If your using a beta version, then you must know where to go to ask your
question. It definitely is not here in the public newsgroup.

In fact, this is exactly why a question about the beta version is totally
out of place here. Now, you have started a rumor that Office 12 and
Office 2003 are incompatible. My guess is that they are not (I'm not a
beta tester, so I really don't know), but you've sent thousands of people
into a panic with one question.

As Michael and David have pointed out, this isn't the place to bring up
questions about beta software.

But lest anyone miss the obvious:

Customers would stay away in droves if they couldn't open their existing
presentations and other files in a new version of Office. Microsoft is
interested in selling software to customers, not running them off.
