Compatibility with Dreamweaver

I use FrontPage for our very simple sites. The only FP specific thing on the
sites are the contact forms. I've found someone to help make updates for me,
but he uses Dreamweaver. If he pulls down a local copy of the site in
Dreamweaver and then reuploads pages/files that he's changed (nothing to do
with contact form pages), will there be any compatibility issues/problems to
be aware of?

Yes, since he will be using FTP and you are using http, in the future if you open the site in FP, FP
will not be aware that changes have been made.

But if I do know what he has changed, can I pull down the remote copy he's
changed back to my local machine, or can just click Synchronize and bring
down new changes that he updated to the server?

You would have to copy each file to your local, as FP is not going to know that a file has changed.
