Compatabilty: old software with XP?

M

Martin

I have a new computer with XP Home. And an old version of Wordperfect,
ver.7, that I've been using since the days of Win95 and Win98 without any
problems. Does anyone know if it will work with XP, or might there be
information somewhere in the XP program that will indicate whether I might
run into problems? Or do I have to load it and find out for myself? ;-(

DOSBox
http://sourceforge.net/projects/dosbox
DOSBox emulates a full x86 pc with sound and dos. It's main use is to
run old dosgames on platforms which don't have
dos(win2K/XP/linux/FreeBSD)

How can you tell if your software is going to be compatible, before you
install XP? See
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;Q295322&

Or you can try the "The Windows XP Upgrade Advisor" for the Home
versions at
http://www.microsoft.com//windowsxp/home/howtobuy/upgrading/advisor.asp
and the Pro version at
http://www.microsoft.com//windowsxp/pro/howtobuy/upgrading/advisor.asp

You can also try a search at:

Martin,

I also use Wordperfect and like it much over Microsoft Word. The latest
version can be purchased very cheap off EBay. The newest version lets
you open and save under the Microsoft Word format. It also looks better
than the older versions. I think if you upgrade you'll be happy you did.
