Compaq Softpaq just won't go SP8906.exe

I downloaded a Compaq softpaq to the desktop, opened it and now I want to
get rid of it. but I can't, it keeps on coming up with the same thing that
an application is using it.

I tried ccleaner to fix and kill off TSR's
Tried closing down TSR's from windows task manager.
Booted into safe mode to try to delete it, all with no possibility of
deletion

Any Ideas....I am drifting towards a knoppix cd
 
Cool Program, but its linked to explorer, tried to kill process; but
explorer refreshes, and I get two versions of explorer when I try it
again...Although its linked to my domain and user account, however when I
booted to safe mode and the admin account it still wouldn't die either.

I am using Zonealarm pro newest version.

Boot into Safe Mode Command Prompt and delete the file from the command
line.

Bottom posted this time.

Ok now I cheated, booted off a SuperAcronis_PE_2003_v1 disk (which I got off
a friend), hunted down the file and killed it from within the CD booted GUI.
I find the DOS prompt a bit laborious, I gave up DOS prompting back in the
days of DOS 5 with XTREE.

I don't believe it.!! now I can't get the wholockme directory off the
desktop, the dll won't go...lol I must have closed one of the services down,
and its stopping me chop off the file. I will have to read blackviper's
config settings more closely
