compaq r4000 amd64 with xp 64 bit sound driver issue

You will need the 64bit driver from the soundcard manufacturer. Further
queries should be posted to the 64bit group.

You need the drivers for your new os. Get them from your sound card
maker. If they have none then you are out of luck until you get a sound
card that has the proper drivers for the OS you want to use.
