Compaq 6410nx Won't Boot

Working on a Compaq 6410nx for a friend. When I turn it on it hangs
at the Compaq screen. Won't let me enter the BIOS setup (F1) or the
recovery (F10) All lights and drives seem to get power at the time of
startup, no beeps, all fans operating. Computer was running OK (a
little slow) I told him to restart it and now thats all it will do.
Replaced the CMOS battery thinking that was the cheapest place to
start. I'm thinking MB is toast. Any opinions?

Simplify your system to see if you can get it to boot after resetting
the CMOS via the jumper or removal of the battery.
Next if it were mine, I would remove the HD and any plugin cards except
for video if that is what you are using. The system could be trying to
deal with a piece of hardware it doesn't know how to handle when
booting. Although one would think it would still enter CMOS setup.

This information is not full. So give me full information...
