compaq 1235 notebook

I installed xp over me & the modem has an (error 10). Tried to find the
driver for it but so far no banana. Anyone got any ideas? TIA
 
Yes xp reports the modem as 56k-DF. Went to drivesolutions.com & was unable
to find a driver that matched close to that. What i did find wouldnt install
because it needed win 95 :-(. Any other sites that might help? TIA
