Compact access db asks for a password after the process

Hi all.
I have a DB with a password.
After I use "compact and repair" Access asks for the DB password again.
I currently use Access XP and I dont think it happened in Access 2000...
Please advise what should I do to enter the password only once...

It happens in Access 2000 as well. I suspect it because when Access
Compacts and Repairs a database it closes the file after it is done, and
reopens it...thus needing you to enter the password.
