Comp not detecting DVD-ROM

My comp is not detecting DVD-ROM. In the BIOS, it says that
there is no secondary master, but there is.

Make sure you have the jumpers on the back of the device set to slave if the device is on the middle connector of the IDE cable.
Just to make sure the device works, set it as master and install it as the only device on the channel (at the end of the cable). Also
check your bios settings and enable auto-detect on both devices on the secondary channel
