I am running XP Pro with an ADSL connectionand Norton
AntiVirus and Norton Firewall. After rebooting everything
is fine: I send/receive email using Outlook XP and can
browse the web using IE 6. However, after a short while,
IE slows down and stops altogether, I can't go to other
sites or pages. In Outlook I get the message that the
mail server can't be found.
Sometimes this reverts back to normal after a long while
for a short time only, but usually I have to reboot, and
often only a cold restart helps. It appears as if
something is gradually filling up and once this is full,
the communication stops. I checked all kinds of
parameters, but haven't found anything unusual. Other
computers under XP work just fine.
What could be wrong here?
