communication bet PC and PDA thru IR

I need to be able to transmit hex data from the PDA to the PC thru IR. How
do I get started most especially on the PC side since I can use the compact
framework on the PDA?

I'm using c# 2005 in developing windows application on the PC side.

The library here supports both the full .NET and Compact Frameworks. There
is an IrDA sample app included (and it's a superset of the System.Net.IrDA
in .NETCF).
