Richard

I recently removed a bunch of spyware viruses and now I
get a Microsoft error popup claiming the following error:

"common client user session has encountered a problem and
needs to close."

My taskbar at the bottom is inaccessable (mouse
hourglasses when moved over the taskbar) and the Windows
key does not launch the start menu etc.

I have lost network connectivity, but can access the net
from other PC's on the same network.

I did a few searches and cannot find any reference to
this error anywhere. Does anyone know what the heck this
is? All I can think of at this point that I haven't tried
is a full Windows install and that is obviously a last
resort.

PS/ System restor fails as well telling me there is no
valid restore point or something like that.

Also, when rebooting from that error I get a "Explorer
not responding \ End Now" popup that just hang until I
click "End Now" and then Windows Restarts

Cheers

The Common Client (ccApp.exe) is part of your Norton Antivirus software.
Try uninstalling and reinstalling it, or if it won't uninstall go to the
Symantec web site for manual uninstallation instructions.

hey richard

I have the exact same problem..did you finnaly solve it?

Thank you
