I see a lot of questions concerning the Recycle Bin showing full when it is
empty. I was having the same problem. May be this will help someone.
My problem was, I would drag and drop my deleted files from the Recycle Bin
to McAfee Shredder. My Recycle Bin would be empty, but still show the full
icon. I noticed the shredder would indicate that it was shredding,
C:\RECYCLER\S-1-5-21-xxxxxxxxxx-xxx. I created a new folder, and now drag my
deleted files to it, and then to the shredder. Now the shredder indicates it
is shredding, C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxx\Desktop\New Folder. Recycle Bin
icon now shows empty. It’s a couple of extra steps but it works for me.
