Command Window and FTP Prompt

R

Raymond Nichols

I was recently instructed to connect to Symantec's FTP site using the cmd
command in Windows XP Pro. I ran into a problem when I was prompted for a
password. When I attempted to enter the password given by Symantec it would
not respond. The cursor at the password prompt would just blink regardless
of what I typed. It was if the letters and numbers function on the keyboard
were turned off. The enter key did still function. I even went to a
different network and it did the same.

Please help.

Hi Raymond,

The password doesnt move in CMD line FTP when you type a password. You just
need to type the password and hit enter and it should accept it even though
you never see the cursor move.

Thanks,
