Command marks in MS Office email documents

I accidentally turned on the options to show all command marks in my new
email documents and can't find out how to turn them off. These are the marks
that show a new line, end of line, return, etc. Need some help. Thanks. EED

Does this work for you:

Open a new mail. Click on Tools > Options > View > Formatting marks

Uncheck paragraph marks (or any others you don't want to use).

Let me know.

Kathleen, thanks for your quick note back. A short time after I sent the
first message I discovered the answer. I should have mentioned (as I did in
an earlier post that didn't go) that I'm using Vista. I noticed the icon I
was trying to describe. It's called "Paragraph Marks and Other Hidden
Formatting Symbols", and it's in the "Paragraph" section of the ribbon under
"Format Text" in Vista. Got it working just fine now. Again, thanks so much
for your suggestions.

trying to describe. It's called "Paragraph Marks and Other Hidden Formatting

too, for the extra info about the keyboard shortcut for turning this off and
on. Got it working just fine now. Thanks for taking time to help.
