Command buttons on Subform ....

Hi

Can anybody tell me how to get command buttons on a form to run
commands on a subform? I have tried to add the controls directly into
the footer and detail sections of the subform but they are not visible.
The subform has been setup to display in datasheet view if that makes
any difference?

I just want the usual new, undo, save, print ... to keep the design
consistent

Just noticed that works fine when not in datasheet view - is this not
possible?
