coming up in safe mode

Pressing my F8 key during boot does not appear to bring my
XP Professional up in safe mode.

I don't believe the keyboard is faulty since it is
relatively new.

I need safe mode because I ignorantly changed all User
Profiles to "limited" and thus I have no administrator
capabilities.

I am hoping that I can do a system restore from within
safe mode.

If youre pressing F8 during boot-up,youre waiting to long,start tapping
immed. on starting computer,or if restarting as soon as BIOS message
is displayed.

Hi Steve,

During a reboot, hold down the Ctrl key or:

Go to Start/Run/Msconfig. Boot.Ini and check off /SafeBoot. Apply/Ok,
reboot.
