Comcast is unable to get my new installation working
properly - "ping" shows fine, but can't get into (register
with) Comcast services. They're saying it's an SP2 issue
(doubtful). After 2 hrs. on the phone with them, no
resolution. Any suggestions? Many thanks!

Take this to http://www.broadbandreports.com and the Comcast HSI forum
for direct assistance. When you get there, provide additional
information: modem model, how provisioned, signal levels
http://192.168.100.1 , results of the command ipconfig[space]/all run
from a command prompt.
