I can connect one computer to the cable and it works.
Put the router on and the error that the internet
connection is limitted comes up. ComCast said it is a
SP2 issue. I did not see anything about that. Please

I have no idea what you mean by "Put the router on", or what error
message you get in response to what action. But, like many folks,
I am running XP SP2 behind a router, with the router connected to
Comcast's cable; works fine.

We are having the same problem. Comcast home network.
Desktop PC connected directly to the modem has slow
connection since downloading SP2.

Had super fast speed connection before SP2 and now, it
takes 5 minutes to load a page. Only change, installing
SP2.

We've run the IPConfig and the NIC is getting 3 out of 4
packets.

what error

many folks,

I don't think your problem (slow connection) is the same as the OP's,
although the OP never gave any details about that problem.

If your NIC is dropping one packet out of four, I'd expect your
performance to be horrible, due to excessive retries. One possible
cause is a bad driver, so search for your NIC's website and see if
there is a newer driver.

To be honest, dropping one packet out of four sounds more like hardware
than software. Make sure the cables are fully seated. Ping your
router -- if you don't drop packets between your PC and your router,
then your local hardware and your driver are probably OK.
