How do I combine nine bibliographies into one that is alphabetized? When I
try to use "sort," it sorts by the date, even when I click the box saying it
should sort by text.
Any advice?

Hi Roswell,

Can you provide some additional details as to the version of Word and the steps you're taking?

Are these nine documents with bibliographies you're trying to combine into one document, or ????

Thanks so much for responding. I keep reading "help" sections and advice
from universities on-line, all of which say: highlight everything; go to the
"tables" menu; click "sort"; and use "paragraph/text/ascending." This results
in a mess sorted by date.

I am using word 2003, and yes, I am working with nine bibliographies (for
nine chapters) and they need to go into one bibliography, a single document,
which is alphabetized, in American Anthropological Association format.

Thanks again for any advice you might have.
