COM+ raised an exception

R

Robert Kister

Hi Group,

I'm getting this error message every time I run through the Windows
Components side of Add/Remove Programs. I'm not finding much information
about it. Nothing in the error logs. Tried a repair install & re-installed
SP1.

Anyone have an idea?

Thanks in advance,

Robert Kister

Okay brace yourself cause this might hurt a bit (but I try not to smack ya around so much)

Step 0: Do a system state backup (RTFM here)

Step 1: You must reboot into safe mode

Step 2 use this batch file (included) in the *.zip file I'm uploading

Step 3 open add/remove program and just keep clicking next until you see the "you have successfully completed..." message (don't actually add/remove ANYTHING)!

Step 4: Reinstall ALL COM+ programs

There's a post I sent you should find it as it may or may not solve your COM+ woes :)
