I saw it and thought it was crap. So what if in some games it gives
sligfht;y better performance. With other games they won't play at all. And
this is true of many many games. If he averaged oll those zeros into the
results I think the final averages of what xpsp2 does for games would fall
dramatically.

I was a bit disappointed that ms is putting out this king of propiganda
saying everything is great when clearly they should be spending their time
on foxing the problem. But first of course they have to admit there is one.

I'm sorry you feel that way. The column represented an honest assessment
born of curiosity, to see whether SP2 and DX 9.0c made a difference in gaming
performance. The results were pretty ambiguous...that's just how it turned
out.

Think about it: if my goal was to spread propaganda for SP2, would I have
published inconclusive numbers? The benchmark results in my column were
honest results of honest test, nothing more, nothing less.
