Hi Crhris,
Perhpas you can help with this ongoing dilema.
Currently I am connected to the internet via ehternet. I am on a network
that the
computer automatically mapped for connection. No password etc., even though I
was told this network was secured. The computer works flawlessly. Opens pages
and browese the internet. I.E.50
The problem is when I go to use the wireless system. I get an excellent
strength
signal. I have a moblie centrino with built in wireless card. I had used the
wireless
card for months at my home, but now I am trying to use it in open access
public
spaces. The computer hardware finds the signal, connects but the computer
doesn't allow me to open any pages. None. I have reset the protection,
security
to low. popup blockers is turned off.
It's important to note that the wireless system and the ethernet system are
from
the same hotel source.
So, what do I have to do to get the wirless to allow pages to open?
I did the uninstall reinstall of wirless hardware. And I have all the
required
windows xp professional service pack 2 updates. Including the one forI.E.
security protection and cleansing.
I would really appreciate your help, as this is very frustrating.
THank you Chris.
