Column heading at 45 degrees

I need some help with a column heading question. I have about 1/2 of this
problem figured out but I still need some input.

What I'm trying to do:
In range B12:B21 ( and in all columns to the right in rows 12:21), I have a
column heading. I'd like to maintain a column width of 10 and show the column
title reading left to right going up at 45 degrees. Visually, it would appear
that the column heading is merging into columns C as the heading is angled
at 45 degrees.

What I've done:
I've used Format -> Cells -> Alignment -> 45 degrees which shows the heading
text at an angle. The problem I'm having is that the heading is all within
column B and I have to widen the column to show the heading. How do I angle
the cell range B12:B21 to 45 degrees as opposed to just having the text at a
45 degree angle? I've seen this in another spreadsheet so I know it can be
done.

You have not seen this on another spreadsheet.

It cannot be done.

You can make the cell appear slanted by slanting the text to 45 degrees or
whatever you like and placing borders around the cell and increasing the row
height.

Adding a background color gives an added touch.

BUT.......the cell is still rectangular which you will see when you select it.

Download Bob's workbooks and select Results sheet.

Select one of the slanted cells, say B1.

What is the configuration of the cell as opposed to the text within the cell?

Then please re-read my post.

You cannot slant a cell..........only the text within that cell.
