Colors in top shared border, etc.

I'm having lots of problems with my top shared border. Sometimes it will
change itself and I have to redo everything.

Please see www.hopegroup.org for these questions (I have FP 2003)

-Sometimes, the banner will disappear and I have to recreate it; Is there a
way to lock the border so it never changes on its own?
-The color on the top banner dissapeared online, but stayed the same on the
side; How do I get the color back on the top? Everything shows correctly in
FP but not online (The only page online that shows the correct color is
Resources--button on side)
-How do I get the border to appear uniform on all of my pages? (see the
Resources page for this as well--it's done it on other pages in the past)

Thanks for your help (in advance); I'm quite frustrated!

Shared borders are just plan buggy!
They require FrontPage Server extensions and they are buggy too.

Use Include Page or DWT. That will solve your problems.

Shared borders do not need FrontPage server extensions.
But I agree, there are much better options, such as FP includes and
Dynamic Web Templates.

As it says, Shared border *background properties* require FP2002
extensions.
BUT, shared borders without custom backgrounds do not.

lol, it sure looks like custom backgrounds to me...did you view the site?

No, I did not see the site, but custom backgrounds can be applied by
other means, such as table or cell background and/or CSS.
Just needs a little knowledge and thought.

familiar with all the terms you are using. Could you please direct me to
where I can find these things? Thanks!

And by the way, my problem is fixed...for now. The color changed back on its
own, then it deleted the banner, then it came back.

You will find that the Include Page feature in FrontPage is more stable.
You can access this by:

Insert > Web Component > Include Content > Include Page
