color problemssss grr

im reallhy hoping that someone can help me with my problem cuz its really
frustrating me. i moved my computer from my bedroom to my living room 2 days
ago because my dogs chewed my phone cord and the only other phone outlet was
in the living room. i installed and started playing a law and order game and
all of a sudden the screen changed colors. now its like a bluish.whitish
tint. and its really hard to read things, especially if the texts on on pages
are white. i need to fix this problem fast because i need my computer for
college work. so if someone can help me, i would really appreciate it..

Based upon what you describe, 1) it's possible that the
connector between the monitor and the computer is not
secure. Check it. (look at the connector, there may be a
bent pin), 2) If the problem continues, try a different
monitor. If the problem remains with a different monitor,
it's likely that the video card is failing. If the
problem goes away, it's the monitor that's failing.

Also could be cosmic rays from a galaxy far, far away . . .

The last time I experienced a problem like this, the monitor cable was not
connected tight. Worth a try - sorry but this is all I can think of. Best of
luck.

This isn't a Windows problem. It's one of the following:

1. The monitor
2. The video card
3. The cable connecting the two.

Since you recently moved the computer, I'd bet on it being number
3. The connection is probably just loose, and tightening it will
fix the problem.

Check the monitor connection to the computer, reseat the video card,
reinstall the video driver, degauss the monitor, check the
contrast/brightness/gamma in both the monitor settings on the monitor
and in the video adapter settings.
