Not sure if this is the right place to ask. If not, please direct me to the
proper newsgroup.

I have a HP PSC 2100 3 in 1 printer, copier.

At one time, I changed the printing option to always print in black and
white. I want to change it back so it prints in color and I can change to
black and white at my option. Could someone help me out here and tell me
how to permanently change the settings?

Thank you..
Helen

You could surely get better help at the HP website or an HP NG, but, in the
HP software, you should have printer settings or preferences.....set your
color option there and it should remain until you change it again. That's
the way my old HP worked.
Try here, if that doesn't help:

Hi hun... check this area...

Go to your Control Panel. For Win XP (I don't know what version windows
your using) Click Start and Click Control Panel.
Double Click Printers and Faxes
Right Click your Printer and Choose Properties

On the general tab I noticed a Printing Preferences button at the bottom in
clicking that takes me to another window and on this new window I get a tab
named Color and on this tab I see print in Grayscale.

See Ya wader...... Can

I have a HP psc 1350 and to change the defaults, this is the procedure
(hopefully yours will work basically the same way)

Go to 'control panel', 'printers', 'view installed printers' right click on
your printer and click 'properties' click the 'advanced' tab and click the
'Printing Defaults' button at the bottom of that window. You can check all
your settings under each tab and this will set the defaults. Changing to
color will be under the 'color' tab.

When you want to temporarily change to black printing, just bring up print
properties and select "printing preferences" under the "general" tab. You
can select to print grayscale from the color tab.

Just remember, to change the action permanently go to "Printing Defaults"
and to change it temporarily go to "Printing Preferences" ... The screens
look the same but the top bar will tell you if you are in Defaults or
Preferences.

Hope this helps.
