Color Help Please!

For some strange reason, my folders and file names in Windows appear in blue
instead of the default black. This happened last week and I can't figure
out how it happened or how to change color of the folder names back to
black.

Thanks for your help!

Thanks for your help!

The color blue indicates a compressed file, by any chance did you compress
your hard drive to save space?

Blue suggests the files are compressed.
Did you or someone else compress them?

Right click a file
Click Properties
Click Advanced button
Is the box "Compress contents..." checked?
You can uncompress it by unchecking it and pressing OK.

Thanks for your response. I did compress the files to save disc space.
That explains it.
