Color/Font Problems After Theme Corrections

Unbeknownst to me, my 2-year-old was banging on the keyboard for a few
minutes - before I knew it, somehow he had changed the theme on my Dell with
Windows XP Professional from Windows XP to Windows Classic (High Contrast
Black). I (seemingly) successfully changed the theme back to Windows XP but
then noticed a few strange things with fonts and colors:

* Internet Explorer fonts are very large (even though View-->Text Size still
says Medium), and some background page colors are not present.

* Excel files that previously had cells with light green fill now shows up
as white fill (even though the fill button seems to indicate that the cell is
still filled with light green).

* Existing Outlook mail messages viewed in the preview pane have very large
fonts.

When I log on as another user, all themes, fonts, and colors are all normal.

Any idea what other settings could have been altered and how to fix?

Thanks....

Mabrand,

You have two options, either return your Theme from a saved 'My Favorite
Theme' file
or go back into 'Appearance' and reset your Theme settings.

Option 1:
* Right-click on Desktop, select 'Properties'
* Select 'Themes' tab
* Click the drop menu and select 'Browse', locate your saved backup Theme

Option 2:
* Right-click on Desktop, select 'Properties'
* Select 'Appearance' tab
* Select Color schemes & Font Size
* Select 'Advanced' button
* Change appropriate settings for each drop menu 'item', click OK
* Select 'Themes' tab, click 'Save as' to save your 'Theme' settings (highly
recommend)

That was it! Thank you very much!

On Control Panel --> Accessibility Options --> Display tab, the Use High
Contrast box was checked (apparently via the keyboard shortcut). I unchecked
it and all is well....
