Color categories are inadvertently copied from one user to another

In Outlook 2007, we have had two users assume the color categories of other
users. We haven't found any consistency and cannot yet reproduce the
problem, but it seems to happen when calendar items are being updated. In
one case, user#1 was updating a meeting request from user#2. user#1 noted,
after accepting the updated meeting request, that his color categories were
then exactly like those of user#2. Has anyone heard of or experienced this
behavior?

Is it possible that user#1 looked at an item in a shared folder of user#2?
In that case Outlook shows the categories of the shared mailbox, not yours.

I don't believe so, but I'm checking to be absolutely sure. As soon as I
have access to his computer, I will reply.

Thanks,
Rocky
