Collapsing threads in Windows Explorer

[A trivial matter, but...] In Windows Explorer, is there a keystroke for
'collapse this thread' *when you're not on the parent of that thread*?
We have zillions of directories on some of our network drives, and I'm
often several screens-worth of directories down when I want to collapse
the thread and get taken back to the top. It's frustrating to have to
scroll upwards several screens to find the parent of the thread in order
to collapse it, and would instead like to collapse it from where I am.
Any thoughts?
