codecs

Hi everyone!

I have recently downloaded some avi. files. When i go to
playback the files WMP sends a request to a sever for a
codec to play the video but it doesnt download it and
comes up saying error downloading codec.Does anyone know
where i can download codecs for WMP?? Any assistance will
be greatly appreciated. Email me at (e-mail address removed)
