(code 37)

Hello people!

I am having problems with my cd rom drive.... the message says: Windows
cannot initialize the device driver for this hardware. (Code 37), i have
tried to use all of the trouble shooting options but none seem to work! I
don't know if anyone else has had any problem like this before... but any
help would be much appreciated!

Try Start, Run, type "sfc /scannow" without quotes
and hit Enter.

You're welcome. I think half the time the hard part to searching is
remembering what and/or who to search for. Jim used to be a regular on
the Windows 2000 groups and he had a good knowledge of these type of cd
problems. We don't see him around too much anymore.
