Code 31, I can't ignore it!!

I have read the previous thread on code 31. I do have a dell. I cannot get
my DSL to work. My ISP cannot get my ip address to change. They determined
it was my network interface card, and to call dell. Called dell and after
hours of trying to install the driver for 6to4 adaper which is showing an
error, they told me I needed to completely reinstall my windows vista...I
really didn't want to do that, so I went to dell and downloaded the driver,
and it still won't work. I even went to the 923250 and I can't ignore it!! I
have tried everything short of losing everything and reinstalling vista. Has
anyone found a solution??As before when I try to update driver, it says that
the driver is up to date. I was excited about my DSL now I can't get it to
work. Any good ideas???

Try getting the driver for the NIC from the card manufacturer not from Dell,
Had problems here with Intel wireless dropping off, Installed the Intel
drivers and all is well.

I get this error on the 6to4 adapter. From what I understand, it does have
something to do with the IP. My DSL is operational, only my computer won't
pick up the right IP address (automatically or manually), therefore it won't
connect. I have went through several ways to change it or get it to go to
all zeros, and it won't respond. Dell seems to think it is the driver. They
just want to reload and start over. Just looking for an option that won't
require that.

Bullsh*t! You're lying again.
urbuttoo hardly recognizes any wireless cards. I know. There are no
linux drivers for one of my wireless cards.
Stop the lying!

Have you tried deleting the adapter in device manager, then when rebooting
installing your new driver when asked for?

So, did you TRY the registry fix in the article?

Oh, so because YOUR wireless card isn't recognized, Ubuntu "hardly
recognizes any wireless cards". DUH! Tell your mommy to buy you a wireless
card that works with Ubuntu, you idiot. If you were running Vista, you'd do
the same. Why is it so hard to figure out with Ubuntu? Probably, your
wireless card could be made to work using something like ndiswrapper. But,
that's more than a dimwit like you could handle. BTW, I have 4 wireless
cards here, all from different manufacturers and they all work with Ubuntu.
Then again, I know what I'm doing.

Cheers and LOL!

Obviously brighter than you are Francis. Wireless works for me with Ubuntu.
Too bad, you don't have the intelligence to do the same. You have to rely
on your wireless card manufacturer to provide you with a Windoze "INF" file
to get it working. I bet it was a real challenge to stick that CDROM disk
in your 'puter and click OK when asked if you wanted to install the drivers
for that card. But you did accomplish it! Yeh! You're one smart fella.
That's assuming it didn't already come preinstalled on your mommy's
computer.

Cheers.

Obviously brighter than you are Francis.

Only in your delusional dreams doris.

Wireless works for me with Ubuntu.

Problem is urbuttoo won't do anything worth a damn...hahaha!
Too bad, you don't have the intelligence to do the same.

Oh trust me doris, I'm not near as dumb as you are...I don't use urbuttoo.

You have to rely

No actually Vista had the driver already in it's drivers cache...hahaha!
You're rather stupid doris, but I still bet the boys think you're
cute...LOL!

Don't know what "urbuttoo" is Francis? Is that a brand of beer you're
drinking? Ubuntu on the other hand is the BEST operating system available
for PCs today. You should try it some time. Give me your address and the
next time I'm in your neighborhood, I can help you install it.

Neither do I.

Like I suggested - came preloaded on your mommy's computer.

I'm not gay Francis, but whatever turns your crank.

Cheers and LOL!

Well that's understandable seeing as how you're suffering from brain
damage. I guess that's the reason you always wear a football helmet right?

Oh, doris, you're so gullible...hahaha...you believe everything all
those boys tell you?

I'm not gay Francis, but whatever turns your crank.

Oh doris, er, nostop, er, nonstop...it's not my problem...LOL!!!

Yes I tried the fix. It didn't work. The driver is supposed to be on my
disk, but it won't extract it, or it is the same one. My NIC card is just
listed as integrated NIC card, so I don't know what brand it is. It is
however a microsoft driver. I downloaded all the updates and that didn't fix
it either. Thanks for all the help that was actually about my problem.
Anymore ideas??
