code 22 on dvdrom

I have a dvd rom that is disabled by windows and it will
not enable and in the device manager it is marked with a
red X what does this mean? it says it is disabled and
code 22 please help

Sounds like you have installed some incompatible software or update
that has done this. USe System REstore to restore to a date when it
last worked.
