CODE 12 or somthing like that

I some times produce music(trying too) and i got a reltek ac97 5.1 that works
fine but for what i want to its now good so i have nother sound card which is
audiophile 2496 it will pick up but then i cant seem to disable it can go
back to use my other sound card. so becuase of that i have to take my other
sound card and use my reltek ac97 5.1. i've tryed looking at the soultions at
the microsoft data base that doesn't work either.

Try disabling the on-board sound in the BIOS
Watch the startup sceen as it flys past. You'll see something like "Press
<DEL> to enter setup" You have to be quick and press the magic key before it
continues booting.
All motherboards have a different way into BIOS.

When you get into the BIOS, look for "Onboard Peripherals". You'll find the
soundchip in there.
