CMOS Settings

Recently I transfered my entire system to another tower and the only problem
I am having is it will not hold the CMOS settings. If I shut the system down
I have to reset it and go into system setup to reset the date and time. The
battery is good and the only thing that has changed is just the tower,
everything else is from my
original pc. I'm sure I am overlooking something but I have done this
before with great success. Any help would be appreciated.

Despite your feeling that the battery is good, an inability to hold CMOS
settings usually means the motherboard battery needs to be replaced.
Since a motherboard battery costs under $5 usd, this is a cheap and
easy troubleshooting step.

Could also be that he knocked the cmos clear jumper off in the process of
moving the motherboard.
