Hi,

Under Windows NT Embedded there was a service named CMDRMT which would allow
console access to the system via the Serial Port. Is there an equivalent
utility available under Windows XP Embedded?

If not can CMDRMT be used under Windows XP Embedded?

Hi Paul,

Have you read something about Terminal Services?
Could you use them for your requirements?

Unfortunately not. The serial console would be used by an adminstrator on
initial configuration of the system to set up shared keys for IPSEC or for
access to the system to perform recovery after network hardware/software
failures (The system is headless)

Have you heard of the CMDRMT service? We now have the service working for NT
Embedded\Win2K but are having some difficulties under XPe when CMDRMT trys
to bring up the command console. (Login seems to be working fine under XPe)

Sorry, I don't know anything about CMDRMT.

Maybe someone else will be able to help you with this problem.

Slobodan
