Do not use Local Groups on the cluster shares, always use global groups. If you search KB at

| I am creating a two node cluster for purposes of file
| sharing. MS typical file security is comprised of a
| global group being granted access to a local group. If
| you have a local group on one node of the cluster you are
| unable to fail-over the group to another node and retain
| appropriate permissions. Is there a way to sync the local
| groups or should I simply eliminate the local group
| concept.
