CLR CMOS Jumper

I just got a MSI/PcChips Motherbord. The printed manual (PcChips)
calls for pin #1 to be at the top.
The download manual (MSI) calls for pin # 1 at the bottom.
'NORMAL' jumper setting is pins # 1 & 2 short, 'CLEAR CMOS' is #'s 2 &
3 short.
The bord shipped with bottom and center pins short - which is "NORMAL"
according to MSI.
AFAIK the printed manual has a misprint. They ship these things
normally "NORMAL", not?

Yes , new motherboards would ship with the "clear cmos" jumper in the normal
position

Usually, the motherboard should be shipped "ready-to-go". That is, the
user should not need to do anything more. But the best indicator of which
is Pin 1 is the printing on the motherboard itself, where there should be
the number "1" by the header itself.

No #1printed there. MSI replied to my question: "Ready" is default to
keep CMOS.
I don't think they cought up on my pointer to a misprint.

You might have to look on both sides of the motherboard...the component
and foil side.
