What are you trying to accomplish? You "close" ports either by disabling the
services/applications that are listening on them, or if you're trying to
protect your computer from unauthorized access, such as from the Internet,
you use either the built-in XP firewall or a third party hardware or
software firewall to block *all* inbound traffic....
