closing telnet port 23

Does anyone know how to close telnet port 23....I can't
seem to find any info on this

You need to run a firewall to close ports. There is one built in to
XP, and there are more complete options elsewhere.

Use CPanel: Admin Tools: Services to disable the Telnet service.
