closing excel

i have an importation process where excel is called and open

how do i close it completely at the end of the importation process

it disappears but the process in the task manager is still running and so
times i get messege boxes staying stuff about ready to know open as read
only

can anyone help me
 
What method are you using to Open and close Excel? Or explain more about
your import process.
