Closing Error Outlook 07 XPSP2

Hi there,

My Outlook seems to be working fine until I close it. I get the following
error message. Outlook has encountered a problem.... needs to close. Then
you get the send or don't send report option. The data error report is as
follows....

AppName: outlook.exe AppVer: 12.0.6300.5000 AppStamp:4760725d
ModName: unknown ModVer: 0.0.0.0 ModStamp:00000000
fDebug: 0 Offset: 0304dfc3

I have run the diagnostics twice. All good.
One of the other MVP's stated in another section, that it was probably an
add-in in the trust options area. Going there, I have no idea what I need to
do.
I haven't added anything recently to my computer that I believe would cause
this.

Is there a way that this problem can be fixed using really simple step by
step instructions?

Other strings that I have read about this issue have not been helpful and
have become rather nasty in tone. Is there a larger problem looming on the
horizon, if I ignore the error message?

Please help,
islandb

Which addins are listed for you?
Also, what exactly is being logged to the Event Viewer?

Failed to get the Crawl Scope Manager with error=0x8001010d.
Failed to determine if the store is in the crawl scope (error=0x8001010d).

I did not know how to get these, but I figured it out.
Hope it helps

Install the latest version of Windows Desktop Search;http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/desktopsearch/get...

This might solve the issue with the indexer. The indexer is also an
application that can keep Outlook open or crash it when it is not
functioning properly.

I too am getting the Event ID 34 and 35 messages, every time I open
Outlook 2007. I'm using XP with BootCamp on a MacBook Pro, but since
so many others are experiencing the problem I don't think that's it.

I've tried it all, from removing KB952142 and KB947801 (didn't have
the one others removed which worked - I think KB946983?), I've
installed Win Desktop Search, I've taken each COM Add-in off one by
one and restarted Outlook but still nothing. I've taken Outlook out
of Cached Exchange Mode- which actually generated two 35's along with
the 34, in stead of one of each. I've rebuilt the WDS index,
including the reg edits... I've run Scanost and Scanpst from the
Office 12 folder. Scanpst does fix my "a data file did not close
properly last time..." pop up that shows up every time I open Outlook,
which incidentally comes back every time I made an indexing change,
but the 34 and 35 keep coming back.

Any other suggestions?
