close the lid customize

in the power option , when i close the lid , my problem is that , i want my laptop to just turn off the monitor when i close the lid , but the option shows only hibernate and suspend , . is there in anyway i can add something to it . i just want it to turn off the monitor , help would really appriciated , thanks

That's more a function of the laptop rather than Windows. You might want to
contact the manufacturer to see if it's possible. I'm betting not, though,
because of heat issues with having a closed laptop that's still running.

On mine in addition to standby and hibernate I have the option to "do
nothing." A physical switch incorporated in the closing mechanism of the lid
shuts the display off when it's closed.

If that selection is an option for you you might try shutting it in a dark
room and see if you can tell if the display shuts off when closed.
