Close taskbar item with double-click?

Is it possible to close the taskbar tabs by double-clicking them (like in
many of todays tabbed-browsers) as opposed to doing right-click->close?

SOLUTION:

Here's an easy way.

1. Hold down the CTRL key and and then left mouse click on all the
buttons/applications on the taskbar once.
2. Right-mouse click and select "Close Group".
