Just installed Office XP Pro on Windows XP Pro PC.

All OK except the close application button on the top right is grayed
out and unavailable - meaning I have to go 'file' and 'exit' to quit.
Does anyone know why this is ? This was a clean install.

Also, even when I have no documents open inside of excel the 'close'
workbook feature is still enabled in the 'file' menu. Clicking on this
gives gives a vb error and crashes...

I have the same problem on another PC here at work and its getting a
bit annoying. If anyone has an answer to this I would greatly
appreciate hearing it !! Many thanks !!

Many thanks,

This is indeed the problem.
Groupwise yet again.

Cheers for the quick response !!
