Hi,

Is there an easy way to clone XP Pro for multiple machines with the exact
same HW configuration?

Drive Copy/Drive Image worked successfully with Win2K, but the obvious road
block I've come across with XP is the product key/activation. Has Microsoft
released an OEM disk that bypasses the product key part of the install?
Thanks.

Until sales volume picks up beyond the 3/qty. OEM packs, I'll have to
sysprep/image the units. It still beats a full install each time. ;-)
Thanks.

If I understand what you are saying, you are going to use sysprep to create
the image
of an OEM installation, then deploy the image, and the destination computer
is not
going to ask for Activation. Please let us know how this is working,
because as far as I
know, this won't work. The image will deploy but the dest PC will want to
be Activated.

This is why Microsoft wants me to pay for Software Assurance
on 50 new PC's with OEM installs, so I can have the privilege of purchasing
Volume Media,
and then deploying images made with this media without worrying about
activation.

But maybe I am misunderstanding what you intend.

John
